- Stainless Steel Tubular Primary Heat Exchanger: Constructed using wrinkle-bend technology, the primary exchanger is paired with a secondary stainless steel heat exchanger for even more durability and efficiency.
- Variable-Speed Circulator Motor: Remains quiet during startup, shutdown, and everywhere in between, while maintaining high efficiency.
- Silicon Nitride Igniter: Replaces a pilot light that is traditionally a source of energy wastage, adding efficiency and durability.
- Self-Calibrating Gas Valve: This modulating valve auto-configures, easing installation and ensuring the furnace operates most appropriately for its environment.
- Variable-Speed, Induced-Draft Blower: Promotes quiet operation and precise control while contributing to energy efficiency as well.
The modulating furnace is built into an insulated cabinet that can be configured for up-flow, horizontal left or right, or downflow, horizontal left or right. This cabinet is designed for multi-position installation and certified for direct- and non-direct vent configurations. The heat exchanger and blower section are fully insulated.
In addition to the smart app for certified technicians, the unit includes smart diagnostics. A self-diagnostic control board features a dual 7-segment display that receives output from a constant memory fault code history. The gas furnace is also built to adapt to heating or cooling demands thanks to its variable-speed airflow system, while multiple fan speed options allow for quieter air circulation. For those expecting more from their furnace, the AMVM97 also offers Auto-Comfort and enhanced dehumidification modes.
