The APG16M is a HERS-tested, packaged rooftop gas electric unit that functions as an electrically powered air conditioner in the summer and a gas-fueled furnace during the winter months. Designed with fewer moving parts, its energy-efficient scroll compressor uses less energy than a reciprocating system, while refrigeration-grade premium copper tubing and aluminum fin condenser coils allow for more efficient heat transfer. The scroll compressor, combined with a variable-speed ECM blower motor, insulated blower compartment, and high-density foam cover, allow for quiet operation.

Efficient cooling capacity (with ratings of up to 16 SEER and 81% AFUE) is enabled by the APG16M’s refrigeration-grade premium copper tubing, aluminum fin condenser coils, and R-410A refrigerant. The primary heat exchanger is made of stainless steel and uses wrinkle-bend technology, which maximizes durability and reliability. All components are contained within a galvanized steel enclosure, which is protected from extreme outdoor conditions by a powder-paint finish.

This self-contained packaged unit is designed for multi-position installation. It also uses advanced air purification technology, for healthier indoor air, and is compatible with Nest automation systems, which enables it to be controlled via your smartphone. Plus, like our other rooftop HVAC units, it is protected by our 10-Year Parts Lifetime Warranty and Lifetime Unit Replacement Warranty if you join our X-Protection Plan. A Lifetime Limited Heat Exchanger Warranty is also included.
