The ASZH5 electric heat pump is AHRI Certified and TL Listed. Supporting 15 feet of tubing, it features many factory-installed components, including a bi-flow liquid-in filter drier, transformer, suction-line accumulator, compressor crankcase heater, high-capacity muffler, and coil and ambient temperature sensors. The cabinet is a heavy-gauge galvanized steel enclosure with a sound control top and:

• Baked-on powder coat finish
• Wire fan discharge grille
• Rust-resistant coated screws
• Steel louver coil guard
• Single-panel access to controls
• Top and side maintenance access

This high efficiency heat pump can withstand hurricane force winds, when properly anchored, in accordance with the 2010 Florida Building Code. This is on top of the efficient cooling and heating it provides thanks to the next generation Copeland® UltraTech scroll compressor. Designed with fewer moving parts, the scroll compressor consumes less energy than reciprocating compressors and uses chlorine-free R-410A refrigerant to lower operating costs.

The ASZH5 is quiet, thanks to a high-density foam compressor sound blanket and SmartShift™ time-delay defrost technology, which allows a smooth, quiet transition to defrost mode. It has a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) of 17. System performance is continuously monitored (via Bluetooth if desired) for optimal indoor comfort, while six stored default codes aid diagnostics. Its factory-installed bi-flow liquid line filter drier protects the unit against dirt and moisture, extending service life. The HERS-tested electric heat pump also comes with a lifetime warranty for unit replacement and 10-year limited protection on parts.
