The VVCB electric air handler and furnace is highly energy efficient and built to last. It achieves up to 23 SEER thanks to all-aluminum evaporator coils and variable speed ECM blower motors, which start up and shut down gradually to reduce energy consumption and noise. At constant low speeds, an outstanding level of filtration and comfort can be achieved.
Factory-mounted expansion valves enable the air furnace to precisely control the flow of refrigerant. The appliance has also been designed for structural stability. Its SmartFrame™ Sub-Structure adds lateral stability, provides a stable mounting framework for internal components, and secures the foil-faced insulation. This reduces operating noise from the blower as well as cabinet condensation. The energy saving design also delivers an airflow capacity of 1.5 to 5 tons to support a wide range of installation and heat pump applications.
ComfortBridge Technology enables the air handler/furnace to communicate with any single-stage thermostat, allowing for customized indoor comfort. In addition to its energy saving design, the VVCB is protected from the elements by a heavy-gauge galvanized steel enclosure with a baked-on powder-coat finish. It also uses ComfortAlert diagnostics for continuous performance monitoring, which helps spot any problems early. Compatible with Nest systems, the air furnace works with home automation systems and can be controlled/monitored via a smartphone.
